Christmas in our home was lovely.  It always is.  It's perplexing to me how the whole Christmas season comes on like a herd of reindeer and blows out like Santa's dust trail.

Remember as a kid how it took FOREVER for time to pass?  It seemed like an eternity while I waited to get my driver's license.  And, don't even get me started on the everlasting wait for the ripe age of 18 when this know-it-all was able to start adult hood.  If I only knew to savor my childhood...  As any mom does, I try to pass my "lessons learned" on to my two girls.  Madyson tells me that even when she is married, she and her husband will live with us.  As much as I know her opinion will change with the teenage years, for now I'll savor the thought of her forever by my side.
